Family Heartbeat Oct 2017

The Robinson Family Heartbeat
Blessings from Costa Rica!
October 2017
What have we been up to lately?
The Robinson Family packed up everything and moved to Costa Rica in June of this year! We now live in an area called Los Angeles de San Rafael, de Heredia, Costa Rica with Nathan, our youngest of 6, and Benjamin, another son and his new wife, Abigail. Los Angeles is near the small town of San Rafael which is halfway up the mountain side between the very large capital city of San Jose, and the top of Monte de la Cruz located in the province of Heredia. We are about 5,000 feet above sea level which is very different for us having lived in Pensacola, Florida near the beach for the past 30 years. Connect with us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/MissionsHeartCostaRica for more updates!

We have been getting settled in our newly adopted country of Costa Rica.  We found a house to rent and had to negotiate with customs to get our household items released. We have been busy unpacking, making acquaintances with our neighbors and making connections with other missionaries in the area. We have enjoyed reconnecting with our Costa Rican Church and are attending regularly.

What is new with our family?
Bill is involved in a men’s ministry through the church, and he is also teaching woodworking to young teenagers weekly through a homeschool co-op that Nathan is a part of. Chris is involved with a pregnancy resource center for low income women called El Nido, and has done some breastfeeding counseling there. She is currently studying to further her involvement there, as well as continuing to homeschool Nathan in his high school studies.

We have been reaching out to families in need and doing one on one ministry including providing meals and opening our home for fellowship and meetings. We are involved with an Ecological organization called Oro Verde, and have been able to help with trash clean up in a beach area called Puntarenas. We are all continuing to learn and study the Spanish language.

What prayer needs do we have?
Please pray for our family to continue to become settled and established here. We will continue to learn and study the language until we can communicate in Spanish; this is very important to facilitate ministry more effectively. Please pray for God’s complete financial provision and His divine protection over our family. We greatly value your prayers.

We are asking you to help us raise $6000 for transportation. This is to cover the automobile registration and all permits needed to be able to drive the car here in Costa Rica. It is possible to take the bus to and from church, but this is very time consuming and does not allow for the freedom to easily do effective ministry at other times..

What can you do to make a difference?
We are praying for 100% support to come in each month. This will make it possible for us to make an impact for the Kingdom of God where He has called us.

We need your help; will you please consider partnering with us by giving a one-time or recurring monthly donation?
